The Importance of Research … and Patience!

As a writer, and I’m sure it’s the case with most other professions, research is extremely important. You can’t build a house without at least some idea of what’s underneath the ground. An organised writer??

In the last few weeks I have re-read/edited my first novel for the seventh (8th?) time. I am now fairly comfortable for someone else to read it. For those of you that read my post two posts back, you will remember how I mentioned that the lady who will be reading my novel had to finish with her current client before we could move on to mine. Well, she is now done and we are discussing when she can take a look at mine! So that is ridiculously exciting!

Well, so much for keeping my website up to date!

In my defence I did spend half of January on safari in Africa. I then had to decompress, before packing everything up and moving house. While the boxes are all emptied, there are still a few things laying about the place that really need a home.
